Liberator Irish Malt Whiskey Tawny Port Finish

Very intense fig and stone fruit notes, a little citrus zest and cloves and a long, lingering finish.

This is a Vatted Malt, comprising 2 Single Malts from different distilleries. Using really fresh Tawny Port casks sourced direct from the Quinta and refilled within 3 weeks gives an unmatched intensity of flavour. The casks are reused 3 times for varying lengths of time and the 3 fills are blended together to give layers and complexity to the Whiskey.

Wayward Irish Spirits sources from 7 different Irish distilleries and blends these to create individual Port forward Whiskeys. Their process is to cut slowly to 46% over 6 weeks, resulting in a smoother Whiskey with a full mouthfeel, before bottling onsite in Fossa outside Killarney, when it’s ready. Natural deep colour, no chill filter. Currently on Batch 5 of 5,000 numbered bottles.
