This bottling from Redbreast highlights the use of Tawny Port casks on this classic Irish whiskey. It was initially matured in ex-bourbon and ex-oloroso casks, before a finishing period in ex-port casks. This resulted in a creamy whisky with notes of almond croissant, marasca cherry and chocolate covered strawberries on the palate.
